This Wordless Friday’s cooking was (among others) a superb spinach ravioli with a 4-cheese filling (Blue, Feta, Parmesan and Cream cheese) sprinkled with sauteed sage, and in a fennel-butter-anchovies sauce. As always, let me know if you need the recipe.

Home grown arugula & tomato salad

There’s nothing like an arugula and tomato salad that was grown in your backyard – our plot in my case. The nutty arugula flavor combines sublimely with the acidity of the tomato. No comparison with store bought produce. The porcini risotto was my first try to stick with the original recipe. But for some reason I had to go 8 minutes over the religious 14 minutes of cooking the risotto after the first stock scoop. Nevertheless it turned out wicked!

I thought of adding a weekly Wordless Friday post (following the same concept from my foodie pal Nicole from her Pinch My Salt blog, to just photograph the dish with no text added, etc.), mainly to keep a track of my meals, that I cook for the house every Friday. Who knows, over time it might become an inspiration for the days you and I need to cook and have no ideas what to prepare.
